Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop our product offerings for biodiversity monitoring in the Nature Based Solutions sectors; Forest Carbon, Soil Carbon and Blue Carbon
  • Identify key clients with credibility and a desire to deliver high quality Nature Based Solutions
  • Work with clients to sell NatureMetrics monitoring services
  • Identify opportunities for working with certification bodies, standard setters etc to develop standardised metrics for biodiversity monitoring in the context of NBS.
  • This role reports to our Business Development Director
  • The role would not have direct reports but would have the potential to develop a global team along with the development of a sizable market opportunity
  • Attend regular update meetings with the wider team
  • Update wider company, management or board on progress as required
  • Work with the wider business development team and product development team to exchange knowledge and ideas and manage joint projects e.g. with our business development managers in the energy or supply chain sectors whose clients also have Nature Based Solutions

Personal Specification

Education & qualities
  • A relevant degree is desirable
Specialist knowledge, skills & experience
  • Knowledge of the Nature Based Solutions sector is strongly desirable
  • Commercial experience, including in sales is desirable
  • Background in ecological science, conservation biology is a real plus but not essential
  • Strong commitment to delivering solutions which have a positive impact on nature is
Interpersonal & communication skills
  • You will have strong communications skills both to enable confident sales presentations with senior clients and to enable you to communicate the opportunity in the sector clearly with our team of scientists
  • Strong writing skills are also a plus
